Since opening in 1996, Hobbs has established a reputation for innovative & creative design. With its eclectic team of experienced & talented stylists & colour technicians, Hobbs is the leading salon in Bristol today.

The previous salon owner Doug Hobbs has worked on television, music videos, radio, editorial work and worldwide seminars.

The Hobbs Show has undoubtedly been the most publicized aspect of Hobbs, with the shows beginning in 1997 and the most recent being in October 2019 and all raising money for a variety of charities (Meningitis Research Foundation, Help Bristol’s Homeless and Empire Fighting Chance)

Throughout the years the Hobbs Show has morphed from Fashion and Dance to Fashion/Dance/Live Music/entertainers and Food.

Previous venues for the Hobbs Show have included The Colston Hall, The Spiegel tent, The L Shed, The Harbour Hotel and most recently Pennywell Studios.

MASSIVE ATTACK have even been in the audience over the years and one year wrote a music track for the end of the Show.

In 2023 Georgina and Elaine had the pleasure of taking over and Hobbs continues to be a hub for local talent, more recently allowing the space to be used as gallery for local Bristol based artists, with their work adorning the salon walls as the busy stylists and technicians cater for clients.
